Requirements

To join the Contract Lawyers Service, you must:

(1) be an active member of OWLS;
(2) pay an annual fee of $20;
(3) be a lawyer in good standing in at least one state; and
(4) be actively pursuing work as a contract lawyer.

STEP ONE:
Download the Oregon Women Lawyers Membership Form (.pdf) by clicking here.

If you are already a member of OWLS, you can simply fill out the name and address section, check off the "Contract Lawyers" box on the first page, and indicate that you are already a member of OWLS. You must include your email address.

STEP TWO:
Return the completed Membership Form with your $20 payment to Oregon Women Lawyers, P.O. Box 40393, Portland, Oregon 97240.

(1) Contract Lawyers Listserve: Members of the OWLS Contract Lawyers Service are placed on the Contract Lawyers list serve, which allows members access to contract projects that are posted on the list serve by Oregon employers. The list serve also provides members with a forum for communicating with other contract lawyers on a variety of issues that arise in the expanding area of contract lawyering.
