The OWLS Board voted to temporarily halt all judicial endorsements because the governor's selection process differs from the prior administration's, and until we determine the impact that our endorsements have on the governor's process. We will continue to contact the governor's office about the selection process and OWLS' best means of involvement; we know that the governor is concerned about adequate representation of women and minorities on the Oregon bench. The board will reinstate our judicial endorsement process when the outcome will be of assistance to the governor.
