New Admittee events are an excellent, easy and inexpensive way for chapters to reach out to new members of the bar and increase membership and participation at the chapter level. A lunch or reception is a perfect way to welcome new members of the bar and introduce them to OWLS. How can my chapter put on a New Admittee event? The first step is to locate new admittees to the bar who live and work in your community. The Oregon State Bar will provide a list of all new admittees by county of residence. Also, canvas your chapter members to obtain information about new admittees at their firms or in their practice areas. Here are additional some tips for putting on a great new admittee event:
