OWLS DragonFlies in Victoria B.C. and Portland, OR
The OWLS DragonFlies will race again this year in the Dragon Sports USA Portland Dragon Boat races held on September 6 and 7, 2008 at Tom McCall Waterfront Park.  In 2007, they capped off an exceptional local race season with a first-place finish in these races.  Come cheer the 'Flies on this year and watch them repeat history. 

The 'Flies raced August 16 and 17 in Victoria B.C. in the annual Dragon Boat Festival, and were the highest ranking women's team.  In the semi-finals, the 'Flies overtook three mixed teams (men and women) in a last minute surge for first place.  They placed second in the Women's Cup and came within hundredths of a second for a medal in the Bronze Cup.  Go 'Flies!
